Maximise the appeal of your home at an inspection

A crucial component of the marketing of any home is the preparation and presentation when it is open to the buying public.

You don’t have to go to a great deal of experience to dramatically increase the appeal of your home. First impressions last and can make a big difference in buyer engagement. This list of helpful ideas to maximise your homes appeal on open day can help.

  1. Leave home early to avoid encounters with potential buyers.
  2. In the kitchen, hand pick herbs and place them in a glass of water.
  3. Always clean and tidy the dog area and take dog out during open times.
  4. Freshly baked bread to provide inviting aroma to the home.
  5. Plant out pots for colour – Inside and outside of the home.
  6. Buy new towels for the bathroom to display them at open times.
  7. Don’t forget the laundry – make sure your laundry baskets are tidy.
  8. If you are burning incense, make sure it is a subtle aroma.
  9. Prepare the home for the temperature of the day – if it is cold, turn on heating.
  10. Have garden trimmed back to accentuate land dimensions on offer.
  11. If you have music playing have the volume low for background effect.
  12. Have all blinds up and window furnishings tied back for maximum natural light.
